This collection of drawings represents
a few of those created for my first solo show. It was held at
the Byre Theatre in St. Andrews, Scotland, in November of 2004.
The space consisted of one enormous lobby and two smaller anterooms.
The theatricality of the setting called for both extremely large
and very dramatic work to wish I responded with relish (but not
mustard). The altar was the center of the exhibition and was created
to respond to Anne Carson’s question of whether it is intimate
space birds fly through?
